Surprise!

I got a big surprise too, recently. From out of nowhere, my husband decided that he was "tired of having the responsibility of a wife and children" and walked out on us, stranding me and the girls on the edge of the second largest city in Sweden without a second thought.

We are struggling to find a way back to the USA and trying to figure out life in general. I was a good wife to this man; he may not love me anymore but how can anyone just walk out on his/her children and not care? I'll never figure that one out; all I can do is handle things one day at a time, keep my eyes on the Lord and get my family back to a familiar place with friendly faces.

Shalom.

I'm sorry. That probably sounds lame considering you're living it.

After my first husband died at twenty-eight, (our son was nine-months old), it was hard listening to people's comments. I didn't want their sympathy. I just wanted my life back.

Please know that the Lord will be with you. Deuteronomy 31:8 has been a stronghold in my life. God will never leave you, forsake you, or fail you.

My best friend's husband walked out on her many years ago. As couples, husband and wife teams, we served as youth leaders at our fundamental Bible church. The Lord has been helping her and sustaining her too. She continues to serve Him, even though it's been a difficult journey. In fact, after 14 years she's still minsitering with teens and God has blessed her in ways unimaginable for staying faithful to Him.

    I'll be praying for you.

    In Jesus love,
